Pan.a.ce.a radio play increasing

Video shoot & acoustic EP planned

Upcoming show with Jimmie's Chicken Shack

Harrisburg, PA June 3, 2010 – Radio play for Pan.a.ce.a gets a big boost this week with an add on Reading, PA's powerhouse station, WRFY - Rock Hits Y102.  This follows the band's wildly successful appearance opening for The Badlees at The Works in Wyomissing over the weekend, which was promoted by the station.  Y102 is ranked #1 in the market with ratings of 3 to 4 times that of their nearest competitor (non-country or talk), and a big signal that takes them into the Philadelphia market where they have as many listeners as in their home area.

The current single is the "We the Broken," the title track from the band's new album.  WRFY now leads the growing list of radio stations with big coverage areas spinning this song in regular rotation, including WQKX & WFYY in Sunbury and WZXR in Williamsport.  Airplay also continues with specialty shows and/or spikes on WDMT (Wilkes-Barre), WZZO (Allentown) and WQXA (Harrisburg), to name a few.

Plans now call for expanding promotion to radio outside of central-PA.  More details will be announced soon.  Until then, any radio stations needing the album or the single edit should contact Terry Selders at tls@susent.com or 814-784-3270.

Live footage for Pan.a.ce.a's first video will be shot on July 30th in Milton, PA at a club called Big Andy's.  Digital Video Productions will bring in their camera crane and other top-of-the-line equipment, and the band will perform "We the Broken" more than once during the regular show.  DVP is known for their editing, so having extra footage and multiple camera angles will give them a lot to work with when putting the final video together.

Pan.a.ce.a is currently in the middle of a contest to choose what songs will be included on a new acoustic EP.  Each week, fans are given a list of six existing Pan.a.ce.a originals via email, Myspace and Facebook.  People can then reply with their choice for which song they would most like to hear on the new recording.  The final CD will include five tunes picked by the fans and one chosen by the band, plus a brand new never before recorded song.

Upcoming shows include an opening spot with national act Jimmie's Chicken Shack on June 18th.  The performance takes place at Eleanor Rigby's in Jermyn, PA and is all ages.  On July 10th, the band will headline the "Brass Bash" which happens outside of the Brass Key in Sunbury.  The next month, on August 13th, Pan.a.ce.a is the featured band on opening day of the Rod & Custom Cruise-In at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds.

With the next phase of promotion kicking in, more shows, in-stores, radio info, promotional tie-ins  and other activities will be announced soon.

Pan.a.ce.a is managed by Terry Selders of Susquehanna Entertainment and Larry Mazer of Entertainment Services.  For more information, contact Terry at 814-784-3270 (home office) or tls@susent.com.  The Susquehanna Entertainment website is susent.com.  Larry can be reached at 856-751-2223 or entserv@aol.com

Agreement Signed for Co-Management of Pan.a.ce.a

Update on Pan.a.ce.a for Early 2010

Harrisburg, PA January 11, 2010 –  Susquehanna Entertainment has entered into an agreement with New Jersey-based Entertainment Services for co-management of the popular Central/Northeast-PA band, Pan.a.ce.a.

Terry Selders of Susquehanna Entertainment is the former manager of The Badlees and has been working with regional bands since re-entering the music business in 2004.  He signed Pan.a.ce.a to management in September of 2008 and released two albums by the group in 2009.

Larry Mazer of Entertainment Services is an industry veteran who has worked with many successful acts, including Kiss, Cheap Trick and Pat Benatar.  He currently manages the very popular metal band Lamb Of God and pop-punk group New Found Glory, among others, but Pennsylvania music fans know him best as the manager who took Breaking Benjamin from local sensation to international multi-platinum stardom.

Larry explains his interest in the band:  "Bret (Alexander) produces a lot of music, but he's only sent me two CDs of his bands.  The first was Breaking Benjamin and we all know how that turned out.  The other was Pan.a.ce.a.  I was knocked out by the music and I immediately called Bret to say, 'You've done it again!'  Then after seeing the band perform live, there was no question, these guys are ready for the next step."

The two managers have worked together in the past.  In the late 1990's, they co-managed The Badlees, obtaining a publishing deal with Universal and a record deal with Miles Copeland's Ark 21 Records.  Terry says, "Larry and I work well together.  Our talents and abilities complement each other, so when Bret mentioned that he'd like to send the CD to Larry, I thought it was a great idea.  Because the album turned out so well and the live show is outstanding, this band needs to be in front of some major players in the industry right now.  And I don't know of anyone else who has a better reputation with all the right people, so Larry's our guy."

Local promotion of the band's We the Broken album kicks into high gear this month.  Hot AC and CHR stations are encouraged to play "Now or Never" and Active Rock and heavier leaning Hot AC stations are looking at "Too Little Too Late," a track co-produced by Aaron Fink of Breaking Benjamin.

WFYY Y106.5 Selinsgrove added "Now or Never" to their playlist last week.  On Wednesday (1/13) at 7:30am, Tim and Pauly from Pan.a.ce.a will perform live on WQKX 94KX Sunbury.  These 2 stations can be heard in almost all of Central and Northeastern-PA, thanks to geography and 50,000 watts of power each.

Upcoming shows include:

Sat. 1/16          4pm - FYE / Susquehanna Valley Mall, Selinsgrove, PA

                        acoustic in-store performance

9pm - Front Street Station, Northumberland, PA

The Badlees Announce day after Christmas Show

"First Annual Badlees Christmas Party at The Woods"

12/26/09 - The Woodlands - Wilkes-Barre, PA

Northeastern-PA, December 8, 2009 - The Badlees will return to NEPA for the first time in nearly 5 years for a show at The Woodlands on December 26.  Billed as the "First Annual Badlees Christmas Party at The Woods," this performance follows last month's triumphant return to performing as a full band to packed houses in central-PA (Pottsville and Harrisburg).

The timing of this holiday show is perfect for many longtime Badlees fans who will be returning home for the holidays.  Several members of the original management and crew will also be involved in this date, making it a reunion of sorts for this PA-based band that in the mid to late 90's hit the charts with two top 5 national rock tracks and toured the country with everyone from Bob Seger to The Allman Brothers.

Major sponsors for this event are The Weekender and radio stations WKRZ 98.5FM & WDMT 102.3FM The Mountain.

Here are the show details:

Doors open at 8pm, show starts at 9pm.

Tickets are $10 in advance (from Badlees.net) and at the door.

Hotel rooms are available at The Woodlands.  The number for reservations is 800-762-2222.

For more information, fans can email badlees@badlees.net or visit "The Badlees Appreciation Society" on Facebook.

Four of the five original members now make up the Badlees:  Pete Palladino, Bret Alexander, Paul Smith and Ron Simasek.  Jeff Feltenberger left the band in 2004.  Special guests at this show include Aaron Fink of muilti-platinum act Breaking Benjamin who will be filling in on guitar, and violinist extraordinaire Nyke Van Wyke.

Band member/producer Bret Alexander has been very active in working with other area bands.  He produced the early Breaking Benjamin recordings which led to their major label deal.  All of the opening bands for this show are also being produced by him.  It seems that Bret's studio in Dupont has become a regular hangout for a virtual who's who of the NEPA music scene.

The Badlees' new CD, Love is Rain, was released to the public on October 6th.  The long awaited disc (the last album was 2002's Renew) has received high praise from the press and it sold out almost immediately at web-based retailers.  Given the current state of the recording industry and the trend of top bands taking their music directly to the fans, The Badlees self-released Love Is Rain, placing it only in local Gallery Of Sound stores and on the Internet at places like Amazon.com.  It can also be purchased directly from the band at Badlees.net.  Digital downloads and song samples are available at iTunes and CDBaby.com.  Ringtones are online at Myxer.com.

For more information on The Badlees, contact Ron Simasek at 570-868-6959 or badlees@badlees.net.   The official band website is Badlees.com, which redirects to their Myspace page where you can find the latest bio and links to recent articles and reviews.  Badlees graphics (high-res photo and album art) is available for download from Badlees.net.  For general information regarding this show, contact (former Badlees manager and current Pan.a.ce.a manager) Terry Selders at Susquehanna Entertainment - home office phone 814-784-3270, cell 717-648-7159 or tls@susent.com.

Pan.a.ce.a signs with Susquehanna Entertainment

Harrisburg, PA October 8, 2008 – Susquehanna Entertainment is proud to announce its newest management client, Pan.a.ce.a.  The contract was signed Sept. 30th at the Harrisburg office of Rhoads & Sinon LLP, with the band's attorney Marc T. Levin present.

Pan.a.ce.a, a melodic, hard rock band based in Bloomsburg, PA, is a staple of the Northeast PA club scene.  Their most recent album, All Or Nothing, will be re-released on the Susquehanna Entertainment label with the single “I Never” going to radio in January. The band has already sold several thousand copies of their two previous CDs, and a new album is slated for a June 2009 release.  As with their earlier work, this recording will be produced by Bret Alexander (member/producer of The Badlees) who has produced and recorded many other area bands, including Breaking Benjamin's first CD which led to their major label deal.

The core members of Pan.a.ce.a are Tim Farley (vocals), Paul Young (guitar) and Kevin Harry (drums).  The group is searching for an additional guitar player; and it has not yet been determined if their current bass player, Ed Glazenski, will be able to stay with the band.  Anyone interested in auditioning for the band as a second guitarist or bass player should contact Susquehanna Entertainment as soon as possible.

Pan.a.ce.a’s website is undergoing a complete overhaul.  For now, fan interaction is being routed through their MySpace page at MySpace.com/PanaceaRock.

Susquehanna Entertainment is an artist management and independent record company owned by Terry Selders.  Mr. Selders is best known as the manager of The Badlees throughout the 1990’s, releasing that band’s CDs independently until they signed with Polydor/A&M in 1995, and then overseeing their career through two major label releases and several national tours.  He left the business in 2000 to deal with family issues, but returned to launch his new label with The Central-PA Christmas Compilation in 2004.  Then earlier this year, he re-entered management by signing the Giants Of Despair, a virtual super-group of Central PA-based professional musicians.  Several album projects as well as a book about the Central and Northeast PA music scene are in the works for next year.  Terry is also a contributing writer for Guitar Edge magazine and freelances for Cherry Lane and Hal Leonard music publishing companies.

The management website is susent.com.  The Susquehanna Entertainment label is distributed nationwide exclusively by Burnside Distribution Corporation.
